C1-2 Multi-technology campus guidance system

Abstract

The first problem faced by freshmen or tourists when they come to an unfamiliar campus is the problem of direction. The paper-based campus tour may not only have problems that are not understandable or not detailed enough, but also cause a lot of paper waste. These paper-based campus navigation maps are likely to be discarded after being used only once. So what if you change it to electronic? How about an APP by just entering the place you want to go, then you will find the best route automatically?
This APP can use GPS satellite positioning outdoors to achieve high-accuracy positioning.
After you open the APP, the user must first select the current location as indoor or outdoor, so that our program can accurately switch the indoor and outdoor positioning methods. After that, you can select a large range of your destination from the drop-down menu (for example: Polytechnic, Normal College, Humanities College... etc.). After selecting your large area, select the small area (for example: which classroom). After the selection is completed, the APP will use the A* path algorithm to calculate the best path.
If it reaches the range that the indoor GPS cannot receive, the APP will remind the user to switch indoor and outdoor positioning.
There is an indoor and outdoor switch at the bottom of the screen. When it is turned on, it will switch to Wi-Fi positioning and sensor positioning to assist in locating the user’s location.
When users can’t read the map, they can follow the compass pointer displayed in the lower left corner of the screen. This will make it easier for people to find where they want to go and visit the campus more enjoyable.
