C2-4 An Electric-Auxiliary-Lifting-and -Rehabilitation Device
Nowadays, due to the increasingly advanced medical technology, the average life expectancy of people has increased, which has led to Taiwan becoming an aging society.
There are many elderly people who suffer from mobility problems due to joint degeneration, and some postoperative patients are unable to get up on their own. They all need to ask a caregiver to assist in getting out of bed. In the case of patients, they are weak and unable to get up from bed with their own strength, so they need the help of medical staff to lift them up. However, not every medical staff has enough strength to lift the patient from the bed, so it is necessary to lift the patient from the bed with the aid of a lifting device. In addition, the current medical bed has a complex structure and high purchase cost, and ordinary families cannot afford it. Therefore, allowing ordinary families to purchase this equipment at a lower cost is the first goal of our research.
At present, all rehabilitation work needs to be carried out in the hospital. Patients who are weak or injured need help from others, which is very inconvenient due to the exhaustion. If the injured can have self-rehabilitation at home, it can reduce the time spent on driving and family members. This is the second goal of our research. Therefore, we want to use the aging society, the increase of the elderly population, the mobility of the elderly and the difficulty of getting up after the operation as well as considering the problem that some patients need a drip holder, we tried our best to research and produce an all-purpose electric assisted get up and rehabilitation device.
This device has many advantages: 1)It solves the problem of getting up, and 2)it saves time and effort compared with the lifts on the market today; 3)it reduces the burden and injury of medical staff and nursing staff. 4) It also has a rehabilitation function and can be used for home rehabilitation. 5)Also, it can reduce the commuting time of users.
